100% Tuition and Fees ScholarshipThis scholarship honors the continuing work of Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, Founder and Chairperson of BRAC, who as a young man chose a life beyond charity to assist the poor in their quest for social inclusion and dignity.The Bangladesh Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development Scholarship for the Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development will be awarded to an early- to mid-career development practitioner within BRAC. This competition is open to all BRAC staff worldwide.

The Scholarship will begin in late August 2013.

The BRAC Scholar will join SID graduate students from over 45 countries for an interdisciplinary study of development and project management emphasizing poverty reduction, gender equality, human rights and biodiversity conservation. The BRAC Scholar will concentrate on theoretical and analytical skills in the year-in-residence at Brandeis University and then spend a second year in a supervised internship or field project. The Scholarship, valued at over US $48,000, includes full tuition and fees for the year-in-residence at Brandeis, and all university fees for the second year field project. The scholarship also includes one round trip airfare from Bangladesh. Please note: health insurance and living expenses are not included.
