3rd Graders from Radnor, Wayne and Ithan Elementary Schools all visited Paramour and the during their “Walk through Wayne” field trips this month. The students spent time in town learning all about local businesses and their importance to our local economy. Students that visited the Wayne Hotel and Paramour interviewed the managers about the hotel and restaurant business in addition to touring the hotel’s suites and frosting freshly baked cookies from Paramour to take away as an afternoon snack.

The newest charge alleges that Hochschwender inappropriately touched a 1st grade student on the buttocks while he was teaching at Ithan Elementary School in February of 2000. Students that visited the Wayne Hotel and Paramour interviewed the managers about the hotel and restaurant business in addition to touring the hotel’s suites and frosting freshly baked cookies from Paramour to take away as an afternoon snack.Records for the next 70 years are incomplete, even contradictory, but in 1770 it appears that these 39 acres plus the 94 now bordered by Clyde Road, South Ithan Avenue, Sproul Road and "Old" Roberts Road had been combined by the Evans family into one large property. In 1795 David Evans owned and operated a mill along Ithan Creek and had his house and barn there, too, on the land now described as lying between South Ithan Avenue and the Blue Route. What remained of these buildings was demolished during construction of the Blue Route, but some foundations and other artifacts remain on the property.
